Zone Four of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association includes middle school and high school equestrian athletes throughout the southeastern United States. This year (2012-13)we have 232 huntseat teams and 16 western teams in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Both hunt seat and western teams compete throughout the year in hopes of earning a spot at the Zone Four Final competition held in April. The top four scoring teams then move on to the National Finals. In the 2010-2011 season, the IEA introduced Saddle Seat to IEA competition. The IEA is an affiliate of
USEF High School Equestrian Athlete Program

HorsemanshipThe Holy Innocents' Episcopal School Horsemanship Award is an integral part of the Zone 4 mission. This award, given at the national IEA Finals, was created to promote good horsemanship among IEA student athletes. It is intended to complement the IEA's mission to educate younger equestrians in all areas of equestrian studies and focuses on the belief that horsemanship always comes first.
